Hot amber tea poured into a glass cup beside amber beet rock sugar and fresh mint

A perfect cup of tea is only as good as the water it is made with. If you have hard or soft water in your home, we recommend a simple carbon filter for your water.  This will reduce the astringency of your tea.

Each of our teas comes with recommended water temperature, steep time, and amount of tea for a 6-8oz serving.  Each person's taste in tea is different.  If you find the tea too strong, decrease the steep time first.  If it is still too strong for your taste, reduce the tea amount.   The opposite is true if you find that the tea is too weak.
